Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray has yet to have a game in 2014 in which he hasn’t broken the 100-yard mark and scored a touchdown. However, he also hasn’t had a game in which he hasn’t lost a fumble.
With another early fumble on Sunday, Murray’s a perfect three-for-three in that category this year.
“It’s very disappointing,” Murray said after the victory over the Rams, per Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas. “I’m very disappointed in letting that one go. I’ve got to get it fixed and I will get it fixed.”
The fumble was part of a very rough start for Murray. At one point, he had three yards on six carries and the fumble. But unlike in the past, the Cowboys stayed committed to the run and Murray finished with 100 yards and the score on 24 carries.
“We’re going to continue to give him the ball and he’s got to get it right,” Garrett said. “He’s going to get it right.”
