Murray Not Thinking About Past Success Vs. Rams

DeMarco Murray has quite the history of success against the St. Louis Rams

To say that DeMarco Murray has a history of success against the St. Louis Rams is a pretty big understatement.

When the teams met back in 2011, Murray set a franchise record with 253 yards on the ground. Then last year, he put up 175. But the team has changed quite a bit since then and, because of this, Murray isn’t interested in discussing his past work against the Rams.

Honestly, I can’t remember, you know. I don’t look at those games, because there’s a lot of new guys on the team,” Murray told the team’s website. “Similar defense, but I’m not looking at those games. I know they’re a lot better than what they’ve been.”

One of the biggest changes between then and now is the presence of defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, widely considered one of the best--and most creative--in the business.

“I didn’t watch any film of the last two years that we’ve played them at all. I watched them in preseason and their first two games,” Murray said. “You get a feel for what they do and it’s totally different, so we’re excited about the challenge.”
