Former Dallas Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith made clear earlier this offseason that he was not a fan of the new league legislation which states that ball-carriers may not lead into contact with the crown of their helmets. Current starting running back, DeMarco Murray, apparently isn’t a fan of the new rule--which has passed, by now--either.

I’m not changing my running style,” Murray said this week, per the Dallas Morning News. “If I get fined, hopefully [Tony] Romo will take care of the first couple for me. I’m doing it for him.”

Romo could certainly use the help. Last season, Dallas averaged 79.1 rushing yards per game--second worst in the league--and finished with their lowest rushing total since the NFL moved to a 16-game regular season schedule.
