Mo Claiborne Will Miss Redskins Game

Morris Claiborne has missed five of the last six games with a hamstring issue

Second-year cornerback Morris Claiborne said earlier this week that he was confident he’d return to the lineup soon after missing the Packers game with a hamstring injury, but he won’t make it in time to face the Redskins on Sunday.

Claiborne, who has missed five of the last six with the hamstring injury, also spent time away from the team to attend his father’s funeral in Louisiana.

"Getting treatment and not being here to do stuff because I had to go home, it set us back," Claiborne told 103.3-FM ESPN Radio, via NFL.com. "It was a big setback. ... I'm in the same sense of where I was the first time. So I sat down with the trainers and we talked about it, and it could go either way. 'We need you. But we're not going to play you this week.' (It) gives it a little bit more time and see what happens for the last game.”
