Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn’t blame Morris Claiborne for the injury issues he’s faced since coming into the league in 2012, but he will admit his circumstances have clouded the team’s outlook at the cornerback position.

Claiborne appeared in just four games last season before suffering a torn patellar tendon in the win over the New Orleans Saints, after which he was placed on injured reserve. He has now missed 19 games in three seasons due to various injuries.

Mo has created a problematic situation for us,” Jones said, per the Dallas Morning News. “Mo didn’t create it, but his circumstances are problematic for us as we approach what we’re doing in the off-season at that position.”

Claiborne has been an underachiever pretty much since Dallas made him the No. 6 overall pick in the 2012 Draft. In three years, he has recorded 88 tackles, 15 passes broken up and three interceptions.
