Michael Irvin: LeBron's Championship Equals More Pressure On Romo

According to Irvin, LeBron James finally getting a ring has only increased the pressure on Tony Romo to do the same

In case you didn’t catch any of the 400,000 hours of coverage ESPN devoted to the NBA Finals last week, the Miami Heat won it all--meaning that LeBron James finally has a championship. According to Hall of Fame receiver turned NFL analyst Michael Irvin, LeBron’s achievement has only increased the pressure on Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo to go out and get a chip of his own.

“Now LeBron’s got the title, who do we turn the thing to and say, ‘When are you going to get one?’” Irvin said, per the Dallas Morning News, clearly pointing the spotlight at the Cowboys’ current starting quarterback.

Irvin continued in what, according to us anyway, were some hyperbolic terms.

“That noose has been put around his neck,” Irvin said of Romo. “It better be soon. Jerry Jones has already said that. That’s where it’s going from here. It’s going back to Tony Romo now.”
