McNabb missed the team’s final two preseason games while dealing with the lingering effects of a left ankle sprain, and only returned to practice on Monday. He said the injury, which he suffered around two and a half weeks ago during an exhibition against Baltimore, was not a high ankle sprain--a dreaded injury that requires a longer rehabilitation period than a traditional ankle sprain--but that it was close.
McNabb has been getting daily treatments on the ankle, and doesn’t expect to be limited in any substantial way against Dallas.
"Yes, I will be starting this weekend," McNabb told ESPN980 in Washington, Tuesday. "And I look forward to it. ...Is it 100 percent? No. But it's getting better.”
