Lee, Witten Support League-Wide HGH Testing

The NFL and the NFLPA are currently working toward instituting league-wide HGH testing

According to reports, the NFL and the NFL Players Association are getting close to a deal that would introduce HGH testing to the league. A few lingering issues remain in the way, but once those are ironed out, the league plans on taking blood samples from players around the league.

At least a couple of Cowboys team leaders welcome the idea of league-wide testing, so long as its properly executed.

“If the test is on point, it will be a good thing for the league,” linebacker Sean Lee said, per the Dallas Morning News. “Everybody wants it to be a clean league.”

Tight end Jason Witten supports the measure, too--though he, like Lee, says his support is contingent on the testing protocol being accurate and efficient.

“Doing it the proper way is what it’s all about,” Witten said. “You want as level of a playing field as you can get.

“I think the union and the league have done a good job. It’s probably taken a little bit longer than both sides wanted, but it’ll be good to get that together and finalized for us.”
