Lee Passes Concussion Protocol, Could Return Against Dolphins

Sean Lee missed Sunday's 10-6 loss to the Buccaneers with a concussion

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee has passed the NFL’s concussion protocol and could return this week against the Dolphins, after missing Sunday’s 10-6 loss to the Buccaneers with a concussion suffered the week before--his second in a five-week span--Jason Garrett said Monday.

We are optimistic,” head coach Jason Garrett said, per the team’s official website. “We will take the situation day by day. We anticipate him practicing on Wednesday.”

The initial concussion of the season for Lee came against the Saints in Week 4 but he never missed a game because of it, returning the next week to record five tackles and a pass deflection against the Patriots.

The second concussion came during the November 8 loss to the Eagles.

Through eight games this season, Lee has 66 tackles, a sack, an interception and three passes defensed.
