Sean Lee had led the team in tackles, tackles for a loss and interceptions in October

Dallas Cowboys middle linebacker Sean Lee has been named the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Month for October, the team announced Thursday, the second time he’s earned the honor (the first being for his work in September of 2011). Lee remains the only Cowboys to ever be named Defensive Player of the Month.

Over this past month, Lee has posted 52 tackles, three tackles for a loss and three interceptions, all team highs. He also provided two quarterback pressures and four pass breakups.

Lee was named the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week last week for his performance in the 17-3 victory over the Eagles.
