Laurent Robinson was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday, just a year into a five-year, $32.5 million deal.

The reason Robinson saw such a payday from the Jags was his 2011 season with Dallas. As the No. 3 receiver behind Miles Austin and Dez Bryant, Robinson posted 54 catches, 858 yards and 11 touchdowns, this after developing a seemingly instant rapport with Tony Romo.

With Robinson on the market and the memories of his 2011 production still relatively fresh on Cowboys fans minds, it’s only natural to wonder if the team won’t try to get the veteran back at a bargain--but we’re inclined to doubt it, if only for health concerns.

Robinson suffered four (!) concussions in his lone season in Jacksonville, which accounted for nine games missed. He finished with just 24 catches for 252 yards and no touchdowns.

That said, as Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas points out, Robinson did pass a physical back in February.
