Laquon Treadwell Visits Dallas, Pays Homage to Dez Bryant

Treadwell is pretty much universally expected to be the first receiver taken in 2016

Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell was at Valley Ranch on Tuesday for his official pre-draft visit with the Dallas Cowboys, and while he was there, he took time to pay homage to current Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant.

According to Adam Grosbrad of the Dallas Morning News, the top receiver in the class of 2016 took a picture in front of Bryant’s locker while throwing up the “X,” a nod to Bryant’s trademark touchdown celebration.

It’s hard to imagine the Cowboys drafting Treadwell at No. 4 overall, as there are positions of much greater need to be addressed, beginning with the pass rush and the backup quarterback/quarterback of the future situation.

That said, the idea of Bryant and Treadwell playing together is a fun one to think about.

Treadwell said earlier this offseason that while he doesn’t like to model himself after any one player, he certainly sees similarities between himself and Bryant.

“I do like the way Dez Bryant plays, the way he attacks the ball, makes plays and makes the difficult plays,” Treadwell said. “Similarities there, but I don't like to model myself after anyone. I like to learn and create my own style of play."
