Johnston: “Everything's In Place” For 2012 Cowboys

Daryl Johnston knows well what it takes to win a Super Bowl

The Dallas Cowboys watched the New York Giants run away with a week 17 victory last year and go on to a Super Bowl victory, their second in the last half-decade.

According to a guy that knows the organization inside (as a Pro Bowl fullback in the early- to mid-1990s) and out (as a Fox analyst) Dallas is in the right place to go on a run similar to that of their NFC East rivals, who so happen to be the reigning NFL Champions.

"It's just been a tough go for them," Johnston said, per the Dallas Morning News. "They've got the talent. They've got the coaching. Everything's in place. They just got to keep working, stay focused."

Like most everyone else, Johnston believes a full offseason under six-time Super Bowl-winning strength and conditioning coach Mike Woicik will only help the team.

"I had them picked to win the East last year,” he said. “I think they have themselves in a good position again this year. The Giants are the defending champions so you have to give them their respect as defending champions, but I think Dallas is a team with an offseason, with Mike Woicik, I think this is a team that's going to surprise some people this year."
