Johnny Football Attends Mavs-Heat, Stays Mum on Football

The Browns have made it pretty clear that they're done with Johnny Manziel

In what is a sure indicator that he will sign with the Dallas Cowboys this offseason, embattled Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel took in the Mavs-Heat game on Wednesday night at the American Airlines Center.

Okay, maybe that’s not a sure indicator, but Manziel was there, and that at least means the rumors connecting Manziel to the Cowboys aren’t going to go away for another little while.

Via the Dallas Morning News, Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas approached Manziel at the game and said the former Heisman winner politely declined his attempt at an impromptu interview, offering instead to answer questions about the Mavericks—which MacMahon politely declined. And for the record, MacMahon reports Manziel was drinking water.

Earlier in the week, the Browns essentially stated that they were done with Manziel, but that they can’t cut him until March. Meanwhile in Dallas, Hall of Fame receiver Michael Irvin advocated for Manziel coming to Dallas, and even offered to help him along personally if he did.
