Jerry'd Like LeBron James To Play TE For Dallas

LeBron James will reportedly be on hand for the Cowboys season opener on Sunday

The Dallas Cowboys have one future Hall of Fame tight end on the roster, in Jason Witten. But Jerry Jones would like to bring another into the fold--the only thing is, he’s not a future Pro Football Hall of Famer, but a future Pro Basketball Hall of Famer.

We’re talking, of course, about LeBron James.

James is the biggest of three celebrities that Jerry Jones expects to be on hand for the regular season opener at AT&T Stadium on Sunday night, the others being Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul and New Jersey Governor--and noted Cowboys fan--Chris Christie.

I hope to see Lebron,” Jones told 105.3-FM The Fan , via the Dallas Morning News. “I just wish I could suit him out.”

Asked what position he’d play, Jones responded quickly, “Tight end.”
