Cowboys Stadium will be transformed into a first-class tennis facility this summer.
Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones announced the Cowboys Tennis Slam event will be held on July 10.
The event will feature three current or former No. 1 ranked tennis players in the world in two matches.
The first match will feature 13th-ranked Maria Sharapova playing against world No. 1-ranked Serena Williams. The second match will have eighth-ranked Andy Roddick playing against 19th-ranked John Isner.
The court will be set up across the end zone at Cowboys Stadium allowing for 20,000 fans.
The tennis matches will be a first for the Cowboys Stadium. Since opening in 2009, the facility has played host to a variety of events including football and basketball games as well as soccer and boxing matches. The stadium has also been the site of concerts, proms and business meetings.
