Jerry Jones: “There's No Issue” With Jenkins' Medical Records

The NFL Network reported this week that Jenkins was refusing to turn over the records to the team

As if any more drama regarding Mike Jenkins’ relationship with the Dallas Cowboys was needed, the NFL Network reported this week that Mike Jenkins was refusing to turn over medical records to the team. But the team has come out and said this wasn’t the case.

A source in contact with ESPN Dallas said Thursday that Jenkins had no qualms about giving his medical information to the team. Owner and general manager Jerry Jones said later in the day that yes, the team has the records and no, there’s no need for hand wringing over the situation.

"We got all the information," Jones said. "It's not an issue. There's no issue here at all with him. He's going to play, we know good and well he's not going to sit here and not play this year, that’s not an issue. We got all the medical information we need to work with and help us in here and help us win."

Jenkins, of course, is coming off major shoulder surgery. Stephen Jones said this week that Jenkins would most likely open training camp on the physically unable to perform list as he continues to recover.
