New Cowboys running back Alfred Morris will get a healthy workload in Dallas, according to owner Jerry Jones, but he won’t see as many carries as Darren McFadden—the veteran who rushed for 1,000 yards in his first season with the Cowboys, and who Jones sees as the team’s No. 1 back.

Morris will be more limited in his carries than McFadden,” Jones said, per Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas. “But I do see substantive workload there for him, but not as much as McFadden.”

Jones also made sure to point out that the signing of Morris doesn’t meant the team is done addressing the running back position this offseason.

“We think he’s a seasoned—underline seasoned —back,” Jones said. “He has been very productive, particularly productive against us, as somebody pointed out. Glad to get him.

“Doesn’t rule out in any way what we might do in the draft or what we might do if another option came along at running back.”
