Jerry Grows Even More Concerned About Dez Returning Punts

Jerry Jones has made no secret of the fact that he’s concerned about Dez Bryant returning punts, and with good reason; Bryant suffered an injury on a punt return in the team’s season opener against the Jets in New York, a thigh contusion that forced him to miss the team’s week two matchup with the 49ers.

With Miles Austin likely out until December with an aggravated hamstring injury, Jones is more concerned than ever about the prospect of the second-year receiver returning punts.

“He’s had a couple of misjudgments in fielding the ball this year and that’s inexperience,” Jones said, per ESPN Dallas. “He’s of course done that in college and does have a good feel for where the ball is on the field. So I don’t know that that’s something that concerns me.

“I’m still concerned when we had him back there about his injury, especially that now that Miles may be or may not be out a couple of games.”
