Jerry: Fiammetta Was Dealing With Inner-Ear Issues

FB Tony Fiammetta missed the last three games with a mystery illness

Around three weeks after we learned that fullback Tony Fiammetta was suffering from some illness, which eventually forced him to miss three games, we finally have some information as to what the mystery illness entailed.

Jerry Jones discussed Fiammetta’s status on Tuesday, in his bi-weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan FM.

"It was an inner-ear balance type as we have it diagnosed right now," Jones said. "And it's clearing up."

According to Rainer Sabin of the Dallas Morning News, the illness caused Fiammetta to become dizzy and nauseated whenever he worked out. But these symptoms have reportedly cleared up, and Fiammetta was cleared to practice by team doctors on Monday, meaning there’s a chance he could return this week against the Giants.

"I feel great," Fiammetta said. "It's a good time to come back."

Indeed, it is.
