Jerry Doesn't Sound Too Optimistic About DeMarco Murray's Status For Philly Game

Jerry Jones said this week that there still isn't really a timetable for Murray's return

DeMarco Murray’s absence from the Cowboys lineup went to six games on Thursday, with a 38-31 loss to the Redskins in which Dallas gained just 35 yards on the ground, on 11 carries. What’s more, Jerry Jones said after the loss, his status for next week’s Sunday night matchup with the Eagles remains up in the air--opening the door to the possibility that Murray could miss a seventh game.

“We can’t get a prognosis that another week’s rest will do anything,” Jones said, per the Dallas Morning News. “It’s all depending on how he pushes off.”

If we’re being optimistic, it’s worth noting that Murray might not be so sorely missed against the struggling Eagles as he would be against, say, almost anyone else. The Cowboys victory over Philly a couple weeks ago stands as the only game since his injury that the team has gone over 100 yards rushing--they gained 101.
