Jerry Doesn't Expect a Lot of Coaching Staff Changes

Last year's 8-8 finish brought on a wave of change to the coaching staff

A year ago, a Week 17 loss in a win-and-in game brought on a wave of changes to the Dallas coaching staff. After the dust had settled, the team had a new defensive coordinator, a new special teams coordinator and a handful of new position coaches.

The 2013 season ended on Sunday night in pretty much the exact same way--another loss in a de facto division championship game, cementing a third consecutive 8-8 finish--but owner Jerry Jones says this time, the loss won’t bring on the sort of change we saw after 2012.

“We had a rough year, but we didn’t necessarily have a rough year because of coaching, in terms of our defense,” Jones told 105.3-FM The Fan, per the Dallas Morning News. “All of that will be considered as we look forward. I haven’t really sat down and discussed it, looked at it, and I don’t know how much thought Jason has given to it during this latter part of the season. We’ll be looking at that in the future. There’s no hurry on that.”
