It didn't take long for the Dallas Cowboys to be brought up in connection with unrestricted free agent safety Oshiomogho Atogwe. Atogwe became a free agent on Tuesday night when the St. Louis Rams failed to sign him to a tender offer.
A potential agreement would seemingly make sense: Atogwe needs a team, and the Cowboys could, perhaps, use some experience at free safety.
We use words like "seemingly" and "perhaps", though, because Jerry Jones all but dismissed the idea Wednesday at the team's OTA.
Jones talked around the question of Atogwe before saying flatly, “I’m ready to go into our season with the safeties that we have.
“That might answer your question.”
