Jason Witten Added to Pro Bowl

It is Witten's ninth career Pro Bowl nod

Cowboys tight end Jason Witten stands to benefit from the Broncos’ AFC Championship victory over the Patriots on Sunday.

According to multiple reports, Witten was added to the Pro Bowl roster on Sunday night, replacing Denver tight end Julius Thomas. It is Witten’s ninth career Pro Bowl nod--he’s only missed the cut once in the past 10 years--and his third straight.

2013 was Witten’s 11th season in the league, but he looked about as good as ever. He finished the season with 73 catches, 851 yards and eight touchdowns.

Witten is the fourth Cowboy to be named to the Pro Bowl, joining left tackle Tyron Smith, wide receiver Dez Bryant and defensive tackle Jason Hatcher.
