Jason Hatcher Will Return For The Philly Game, Says Jason Hatcher

Cowboys defensive end Jason Hatcher has missed the past two games with a calf injury, and he’ll miss one more. But the Grambling State product will be available for the team’s week eight match-up with the Philadelphia Eagles, so sayeth Hatcher himself--all sic and emphatically and courtesy, of course, of Twitter.

"Well I'm out for the rams game, but I'm back for the philadelphia game," Hatcher tweeted earlier today, via ESPN Dallas. "God is good!! Can't wait til next week!!!!"

Hatcher became a starter this year after spending five seasons on the roster as a reserve. He re-signed with the team this offseason and, in week two against San Francisco, he notched the first multi-sack game of his career with two.

Veteran Marcus Spears has stepped into Hatcher’s role after the injury, which isn’t much of a stretch, considering that Spears has been a starter for most of his career. Spears will likely start against the Rams in week seven, as well; but if we’re to take Hatcher at his tweeted word, Spears will move back into a more ancillary role starting with the Philly game.
