Jason Garrett Talks Leadership With Coach K

In preparing for his first full season as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Jason Garrett recently enlisted the help of the winningest active coach in all of NCAA basketball, the Duke Blue Devils’ Mike Krzyzewski. Garrett visited Krzyzewski over the weekend in Durham, North Carolina, in order, according to DukeBluePlanet.com, to see β€œhow Coach K runs his program and leads his team.”

To be certain, Coach K has a good deal of wisdom to impart. He has led the Blue Devils to four NCAA Championships, and has coached the national team to a Gold Medal in the 2008 Olympic Games as well as in the 2010 FIBA Championships.

Whether Jason Garrett was the right choice for the Cowboys, we won’t know probably for some time. But Garrett taking this sort of initiative, while not really surprising, should be viewed as an incontrovertible positive for Cowboys fans.
