James On Lee: “He Needs To Get His Butt Back Out Here”

Rookie linebacker Sean Lee is scheduled to return to practice today after missing a little over a week with a strained quadriceps. Of the many who will be happy to see the rookie back on the field, few will be more relieved, literally, than Bradie James, and the other healthy inside linebackers.

"If we can get the rookie to ever come out and practice, it will be good, you know what I mean,'' James said yesterday, per the Dallas Morning News. "I'm sure he's going to get a storyline return, but he needs to get his butt back out here and practice.''

The source of James’s seeming frustration isn’t that Lee is missing reps; it’s that he and the other inside linebackers are obliged to take more reps in his absence.

“I don't know if it's a setback,'” James said. “I just know the vets have to take more reps because he's not in there, so he needs to get back.”
