Ian Kinsler is an Adoptive Cowboys Fan

Texas Rangers’ second baseman Ian Kinsler sounded like a Dallas Cowboys fan this weekend when he chose two Philadelphia Eagles to illustrate a point, namely that he fully expected Michael Young to arrive at camp on time.

This isn't DeSean Jackson or Michael Vick or Manny Ramirez,” Kinsler said, per ESPN Dallas. “Michael Young is a professional. It would be completely out of his personality not to be here."

Kinsler, an Arizona native, later confirmed that he is an adoptive Cowboys fan, adding that rooting for the Cowboys alongside his other favorite team, the Arizona Cardinals, was almost a prerequisite of moving to North Texas.

“I would never say Beanie Wells or T.O. or anyone with the Cowboys or Cardinals,” Kinsler said. “I’ve always been a Cardinals fan because it’s home, but when you move to Dallas, honestly, you really have no choice.”

Kinsler has attended a good deal of Cowboys games in his time with the Rangers, and was in attendance for Super Bowl XLV earlier this month.
