Hatcher: “I Heard it All From Cowboy Fans”

Jason Hatcher says he got an earful from fans after leaving Dallas for Washington last month

Well, this isn’t a good look for Dallas Cowboys fans.

Defensive tackle Jason Hatcher told NBC News4’s Diane Marie Russini in Washington DC this week that after he left Dallas for the hated Redskins in free agency last month, fans attacked him on social media.

“I heard it all from Cowboy fans,” Hatcher told Russini. “I hope you die. I hope you tear your ACL. I hope your plane crashes. People forget it’s a business.”

Hatcher never made any secret of the fact that he intended on cashing in on his free agency, following a career-year in which he recorded 11 sacks and made his first ever Pro Bowl team. But that doesn’t mean Hatcher doesn’t think Washington will give a chance to win, too. He told Russini that he believes Robert Griffin III can take his new team to professional football’s promised land.

RG3 can take me to a Super Bowl,” Hatcher said. “This is my last ride. I know he can…I know he will.”
