George Selvie Fined For Facemask on Manning

Selvie was called for grabbing Peyton Manning's facemask in the first half of the loss to Denver

Cowboys defensive end George Selvie came the closest of any Dallas defender to sacking Broncos’ quarterback Peyton Manning on Sunday. Only problem was, once he got within arm’s length of Manning, Selvie blindly reached out and ended up with a handful of the veteran’s facemask.

Selvie was flagged on the play for a personal foul and, now, he’s facing a $7,875 fine from the NFL.

This marks the third time a Cowboy has faced a league-imposed fine this year. Safety Barry Church got a call from the NFL for throwing the ball into the stands after a pick-six in the season-opening win over the Giants and Dez Bryant was fined a couple weeks ago for making the suddenly-controversial “throat-slash” gesture after a score against the Rams.
