Garrett: Tyrone Crawford Just Keeps Getting Better

Crawford has 30 tackles and three sacks in his third NFL season

In Sunday’s 42-7 division-clinching victory over the Indianapolis Colts, the Cowboys’ best defensive performance in 2014, defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford actually had a quiet game. He recorded just one tackle, in the first quarter, that resulted in a five-yard loss.

But with 30 tackles and three sacks on the year--including two sacks in the huge victory over the Eagles the week before--the team remains very, very high on the third-year Boise State product.

Tyrone Crawford gets better every single day,” Garrett said, per the Dallas Morning News. “I think he has a really, really bright future and his best football is ahead of him.”

The surprisingly resurgent Cowboys defense was dominant against the Colts, holding Andrew Luck to 109 yards passing and the Colts’ ground game to a single rushing yard.

“We’re a bunch of young guys that know how to fight,” Crawford said after the win. “We’re young men that just grind. That’s what we do. We’re bad boys.”
