Aside from the lack of pads and helmets, Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett says there won’t be much difference visually between the practices his team will be going through this week in OTAs and the practices they’ll go through this fall.
The Cowboys get nine days of OTAs. Wednesday marks the second.
"We'll be out there going through what looks like a regular practice that we'll have during training camp and the regular season," Garrett said, per ESPN Dallas. "Obviously different from the fact that we won't have pads on, but we'll structure the practice the same way."
According to Jason Witten, Garrett has been preaching a “talk less, work more” approach to the offseason workouts, and the team has taken to it quite well.
"Everything comes alive," Witten said. "You're down in a stance. You're going to get tired. You're going to get tested a little bit. You can't let it be any other way than to go out there and play. So it will be good for our football team. I think Jason has made it clear, his expectations, talk less and just go to work. And I think the team has really adapted that mindset this offseason."
