Garrett Open to Coaching in the 2016 Senior Bowl

The Senior Bowl is set for January 30 in Mobile

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said this week that he would be open to coaching one of the sides in the 2016 Senior Bowl with his staff, should the opportunity come along.

The Senior Bowl is usually coached by the staffs of the teams with the two worst records in the NFL, but only if those staffs remain intact after the season. Currently, the Titans and Browns share the worst record in the league at 3-11 each, but there seems a good chance both will be looking for a new coach at season’s end.

Beyond that, it's not like the Cowboys are far behind, at 4-10, so them finishing with one of the two worst records is a possibility.

"It’s certainly a good opportunity to get to know the players and we’ll evaluate that as it gets closer," Garrett said, per Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram

The 2016 Senior Bowl is scheduled for January 30 in Mobile, AL.
