Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett isn’t anticipating a whole lot of turnover on the coaching staff going into the offseason, and on Monday, he offered public votes of confidence for offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli and special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
“I don’t want to get into staff changes, but we’re not going to have a whole lot of staff changes,” Garrett told the team’s official website on Monday, a day after the Cowboys’ 2015 season ended with a 34-23 loss to the Redskins in Arlington. “I believe in Scott Linehan, I believe in Rod Marinelli, I believe in Rich Bisaccia, and those guys do an outstanding job.
“We all have to go back and evaluate what happened in 2015 and all get better, and we’re all going to focus on doing that. That process has already begun.”
One of the first things Garrett’s boss, Jerry Jones, did after the season ended on Sunday was to offer his public support of Garrett, saying there had never been a thought about replacing the head coach.
“Well, we all appreciate his support,” Garrett said. “Everybody connected with our football team appreciates the support that our owner gives us. Players appreciate it, coaches appreciate it, I appreciate it. Now it’s our job to get back to work and rectify what happened here in the 2015 season. We’re focused and determined to do that.”
