Garrett: Holloman Just Gets “Better & Better”

DeVonte Holloman had a sack and five tackles against the Bengals

Like just about anyone who has watched the Dallas Cowboys this preseason, head coach Jason Garrett has been highly impressed by sixth round pick DeVonte Holloman.

The linebacker out of South Carolina has made a habit of making big plays through the team’s first four exhibitions games. He had an interception returned for a touchdown in the Hall of Fame game, and a diving interception at the goal line against the Cardinals in Arizona.

In the victory over the Bengals on Saturday, all Holloman did was record a sack and lead the team in tackles with five.

“He seemed to be around the ball on a consistent basis, making tackles even though he didn’t return anything for a touchdown,” Garrett said, per ESPN Dallas. “He just seems to be playing better and better.”
