G Nate Livings, TE John Phillips Have Surgery

Livings was dealing with a knee issue, while Phillips had a problem with his ankle

According to a report in the Dallas Morning News, outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware will not need elbow surgery after all, but a pair of Cowboys have gone under the knife in the past few weeks.

Guard Nate Livings underwent a procedure on his knee, while John Phillips, a soon-to-be free agent tight end got work done on his ankle.

Earlier this offseason, having already undergone surgery to repair a torn labrum, Ware told reporters that he may require elbow surgery to clean up some floating bone spurs. But as it turns out, that won’t be necessary.

“We felt good about that,” said Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, per the Morning News. “It certainly was a good outcome for us and it seems like he’s getting better and better.”
