Fumble Left Bad Taste in Dez's Mouth

Dez Bryant had 47 yards on four catches in the preseason loss to the Cardinals

Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant had a pretty impressive showing in the team’s third preseason game, putting up four catches for 74 yards and once again looking like Tony Romo’s new favorite target. But all Bryant could talk about afterward was the fumble early in the second quarter, that came on the tail end of a 27-yard catch-and-run.

Pissed about the fumble,” Bryant told reporters, per ESPN Dallas. “It’s just not me, you know what I’m saying? I don’t fumble. I’m not going to hold it over my head, because I know what type of player I am. It’s something I have to correct.”

Bryant’s quarterback, Romo, isn’t worried about the fourth-year receiver.

“He knows the turnover matters more than anything else,” Romo said. “But he’s playing great.

“Today’s going to be a great teaching moment for him. Sometimes, some of the best lessons you learn are when you make a mistake. It depends on whether you take the approach or not to do that. He will.”
