Frank Walker Fined $7,500 For Late Hit On Fasano

Walker committed the penalty in the team's Thanksgiving Day win over Miami

Multiple sources have reported that Cowboys’ cornerback Frank Walker has been fined $7,500 by the league for a late hit on Dolphins’ tight end Anthony Fasano in the team’s meeting on Thanksgiving Day.

It certainly wasn’t the most vicious unnecessary roughness penalty you’ll ever see--really, Walker just kind of shoved Fasano a moment after the latter stepped out of bounds--but it was blatant enough to draw a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.

The penalty set Miami up at the Cowboys’ three-yard line, and the Dolphins eventually settled for a field goal.

Walker is the third Cowboy to draw a fine from the league this season. DeMarcus Ware was docked $15,000 for his hit on Buffalo QB Ryan Fitzpatrick a couple weeks ago, and Kevin Ogletree got $7,500 for a face-masking penalty in week two’s win over San Francisco.
