Four-Sack Night No Consolation For Ware

In a game as awful as last night’s match-up between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys, it’s difficult to think of anything other than how awful it was, if you count yourself a fan of the Cowboys. So we wouldn’t be surprised if the fact that DeMarcus Ware had a career-high four sacks last night was lost on some.

But he did.

Ware now has 12 sacks, and is just a half sack behind the NFL leader, Jared Allen. He’s on pace to become the first player in NFL history to record more than one 20+ sack seasons. But as for last night, the sacks did little to make Ware feel better about what was an awful performance by the Cowboys.

It really doesn’t matter,” Ware said, per ESPN Dallas. “We were able to get some pressure on [Michael Vick] but we’ve got to go back this week, watch the film, correct the things we need to correct and get better. We can’t harp on how things went this week. You’ve got to get better and it’s just one game.”
