Former RBs Coach Skip Peete Lands In Chicago

Peete was fired earlier this month after four seasons with the Cowboys

Ten days after being let go by the Dallas Cowboys, running backs coach Skip Peete has a new job.

Peete will take over as running backs coach for the Chicago Bears, under new head coach Marc Trestman. Trestman cleaned house on the offensive side of the ball on Thursday, a process that included the ouster of running backs coach Tim Spencer.

Peete was just the first casualty of a house-cleaning of sorts in Dallas. After he was fired on January 8, defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis and assistant strength and conditioning coach Walt Williams were canned--and after applying for the head coaching job at the University of Delaware this week, it looks like tight ends coach/passing game coordinator John Garrett could be on his way out as well.

Like Peete, DeCamillis is Chicago-bound after signing with the Bears this week.

The Cowboys have yet to find a replacement for Peete.
