Felix Jones Returns To Practice (Kind Of)

Jones was seen working out on the sidelines of the team's practice Thursday

Felix Jones was back on the practice field on Thursday, after missing practice on Tuesday and Wednesday as he recovers from a hamstring injury--well, kind of. Jones reportedly spent the portion of practice open to the media running and cutting on the sideline.

The team is hopeful that Jones will be able to play against the Eagles on Saturday. If not, the Cowboys will have to hand the workload to Sammy Morris, in his 12th year in the league after Dallas picked him up off his couch last week. There’s also a chance that Chauncey Washington could be called up from the practice squad if Jones isn’t able to go.

From a mental standpoint at least, owner and general manager Jerry Jones believes Felix will be ready for the Eagles on Saturday.

"He's going to be involved in all team stuff. He should be able to get anything he needs to get about the game plan, about what we're trying to do," Jones said, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "We'll just let this thing get measured. But he did get good stuff yesterday."
