Fantasy Land: Week 8 Remembered

If you own Dez Bryant or Miles Austin, you probably weren't expecting a huge night from your star wide receiver against the Philadelphia Eagles and their star-studded secondary.

But you probably weren't expecting what they gave you — three catches apiece and neither one eclipsing the 30-yard mark.

All of those Laurent Robinson owners, however, were thrilled.

If anyone truthfully owns, and started Robinson, you were thrilled as he caught five balls for 103 yards and the only touchdown of the game on a 70-yarder in the fourth quarter.

Since joining the Cowboys prior to their Week 3 win over Washington, Robinson has seen a decent amount of action as the No. 3 receiver, and also had a 100-yard game in the Cowboys' crushing loss to Detroit. He and Romo seem to have a decent connection so he could be worth adding in deeper leagues.

As for goats of the week, aside from Bryant and Austin, look no further than Drew Brees.

Brees had a chop-licking matchup against the lowly St. Louis Rams and not only did he have a subpar game, but his team got throttled by the Rams. Brees threw for 269 yards and a touchdown while throwing two interceptions. Not a good week for arguably the best quarterback in fantasy football.
