Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 8

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts," Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Tony Romo, QB, DAL — Romo has consistently been very good against the Redskins, and now he gets to face them without their best defensive back Deangelo Hall, who's out for the season. Romo will also benefit from the injury last week to top pass-rusher Brian Orakpo, who's pestered Romo in past games. That coupled with the Cowboys' standout offensive line and running game should allow him to sit back and pick Washington apart with Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams, Jason Witten and even Gavin Escobar. Look for a big game from Tony.

Honorable mention: Matthew Stafford, DET (vs. ATL); Joique Bell, DET (vs. ATL); Ronnie Hillman, DEN (vs. SD); Jeremy Maclin, PHI (at ARI).

Dud of the Week

Andy Dalton, QB, CIN — The TCU-ex is having a rough go as of late, thanks partly to the fact that A.J. Green has been battling an injury and not able to play. Add in the fact that Dalton has to deal with a Ravens defense this week that is playing really well right now and the fact the Bengals were shut out last week, and it doesn't seem to be shaping up too well for Dalton.

Honorable mention: Cam Newton, CAR (vs. SEA); Alfred Morris, WAS (at DAL); Steven Jackson, ATL (vs. DET); DeSean Jackson, WAS (at DAL).
