Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 8

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts", Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Robert Griffin III, WAS, QB — With each passing week, it seems as though RG3 is getting closer and closer to being the RG3 that exploded onto the NFL scene in 2012 before a catastrophic knee injury derailed him in the postseason and had people thinking he wouldn't be ready for the start of the 2013 season. Of course, he was, but it was evident he wasn't right. Now, he's starting to get that way. This week, RG3 gets a great matchup as he'll face a reeling Denver defense a week after a shootout victory over the Bears. He's still not back, but he's getting awfully close.

Honorable mention: Michael Vick, PHI (vs. NYG); Peyton Hillis, NYG (at PHI); Larry Fitzgerald, ARI (vs. ATL); Marques Colston, NO (vs. BUF).

Dud of the Week

Harry Douglas, ATL, WR — After Julio Jones was lost for the season and Roddy White was banged up, Douglas became a hot commodity and was the hottest free agent pickup heading into last week. Douglas exceeded any and all expectations when he racked up nearly 150 yards receiving and a touchdown in his first game as the team's No. 1 wideout last week against Tampa Bay. From the standpoint of expecting anything like that again this week against the Cardinals, don't.

Honorable mention: Josh Gordon, CLE (at KC); Jordan Cameron, CLE (at KC); Maurice Jones-Drew, JAC (vs. SF); Ben Roethlisberger, PIT (at OAK).
