Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 4

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts," Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Philip Rivers, QB, SD — Rivers has been fantastic this year. He torched the Seattle Seahawks secondary and handed the defending champions their only loss of the season. He did the same thing on Sunday in Buffalo in a dreaded West Coast team playing a 1 p.m. game on the East Coast against a pretty solid Bills defense. So what will Rivers do this Sunday against a dreadful Jaguars defense? Who knows, but you can bet it's going to be pretty good.

Honorable mention: Tony Romo, DAL (vs. NO); Jay Cutler, CHI (vs. GB); Lamar Miller, MIA (at OAK); Brandin Cooks, NO (at DAL).

Dud of the Week

Joique Bell, RB, DET — The preseason fantasy darling hasn't quite lived up to his unreasonable expectations this year, but he's been solid as the Lions' new feature back ahead of Reggie Bush. But this week against the New York Jets, Bell is going to have trouble finding much in the way of open real estate to run on. If you have other decent options, you might want to consider them.

Honorable mention: Tom Brady, NE (at KC); Chris Johnson, NYJ (vs. DET); DeSean Jackson, WAS (vs. NYG); T.Y. Hilton, IND (vs. TEN).
