Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 14

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts," Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Blake Bortles, QB, JAC — When the year began, if you'd told me you'd be starting Bortles with any confidence at all, I'd be left with nothing to do but check my pulse. But now, Bortles is pretty darn good, and his weapons are surprisingly big-time. Allen Robinson has been unstoppable as of late at wide receiver, and he's making people forget about Allen Hurns, who's pretty dang good too and is now healthy. Throw in tight end Julius Thomas, and Bortles should have his way with a bad Colts defense.

Honorable mention: Ryan Fitzpatrick, NYJ (vs. TEN); Jameis Winston, TB (vs. NO); David Johnson, ARI (vs. MIN); Danny Amendola, NE (at HOU).

Dud of the Week

Derek Carr, QB, OAK — Carr has been very good this year in his sophomore campaign, and he has some nice weapons to throw the ball to in Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper, but this isn't the week to trust anyone on the Raiders because they're tasked with going to Denver and playing the Broncos' stout defense.

Honorable mention: Matt Ryan, ATL (at CAR); Drew Brees, NO (at TB); DeMarco Murray, PHI (vs. BUF); Amari Cooper, OAK (at DEN).
