Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 11

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts," Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Josh McCown, QB, TB — Going off the grid a bit here, but I'm all about risks. McCown came back after a long hiatus on Sunday and threw for a couple of TDs and 300 yards. This week, he'll go up against the league's 30th-ranked pass defense in Washington, who is now even worse since the season-ending injury to DeAngelo Hall a few weeks back. McCown is a gunslinger, and will throw some picks, but he'll make up for it and has the weapons to do damage. He has Vincent Jackson and arguably the best rookie receiver in the league in Mike Evans. He'll score some points for you this week. Trust me.

Honorable mention: Alfred Morris, WAS (vs. TB); Philip Rivers, SD (vs. OAK); Frank Gore, SF (at NYG); Odell Beckham, NYG (vs. SF).

Dud of the Week

Larry Fitzgerald, WR, ARI — This year, Fitzgerald has dominated at home in a year of ups and downs. And the Cardinals are at home this week, but there are two problems. First, the Cardinals have to deal with a really solid defense in the form of the Detroit Lions. Secondly, he'll be without his starting quarterback after Carson Palmer's torn ACL last week and will have to catch passes from Drew Stanton. The numbers shout the fact clearly: Fitzgerald has been much better this year with Palmer at quarterback than with Stanton.

Honorable mention: Andre Johnson, HOU (at CLE); Lamar Miller, MIA (vs. BUF); Joique Bell, DET (at ARI); Andy Dalton, CIN (at NO).
