Fantasy Land: Stud and Dud for Week 6

In what will be a weekly occurence, we'll give suggestions on who to start in your fantasy league, and who to sit on the bench. We'll try to avoid stating the obvious, like "start Tom Brady" and dig a little deeper for some less obvious choices. Enough with the introduction, let's get started...

Stud of the Week: Fred Jackson, RB, BUF — Jackson is coming off of his third 100-yard rushing day this season in Buffalo's win over the Dream Team last week. Now, he goes into a game in the Meadowlands against a Giants defense that has been pretty kind to opposing rushers this season. The Giants rank 21st against the run and will let Jackson pick his way through their defense. I'd bet money he goes over 100 yards again and continues his touchdown streak, which currently sits at four games.

Dud of the Week: Jahvid Best, RB, DET — After a breakout game last week which included an 88-yard scoring run against the Chicago Bears on Monday night, Best is riding high with confidence after his career-day. But his matchup this week is pretty awful. If you have better options, start them. If not, you can feel OK riding with Best but just know, the San Francisco 49ers defense is notorious for not letting opposing running backs do much at all — through the air or on the ground. It could be a long weekend for the former Cal star. Start him with caution.
