Fans Get Romo-Friendly at Walmart Appearance

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo made an appearance at an Arlington Walmart Wednesday afternoon to greet fans, sign autographs and promote the fall collection of his Starter athletic wear line.

Much like that of expatriate former NBA star Stephon Marbury, Romo's line is aimed at providing affordable clothes, shoes and accessories with an emphasis on athletics. On Wednesday, Romo alluded to his own humble beginnings.

"For me, it's just great to be able to help out or have kids who were on the income level I was growing up to be able to get some of this stuff, you know," Romo said. "It's sold exclusively at Walmart, so it works out perfect."

The event will be forever etched in the minds of some, and on the arm of one, particularly enthusiastic fan. Romo signed the man's arm per his request -- later, the man said he was headed to a tattoo parlor to consummate the autograph.
