Ex-Cowboy Ratliff Makes Bears Debut

Jay Ratliff was released back on October 16

Former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Jay Ratliff made his debut for the Chicago Bears on Sunday, finishing with a single tackle in the team’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings, 23-20 in overtime.

Ratliff was released by the Cowboys back on October 16 after spending the first six weeks on the Physically Unable to Perform list with a groin injury, and signed with the Bears on November 2. Prior to Sunday, he had last played in a game in Week 6 of last year, when he originally suffered the injury.

Ratliff, who finished his career in Dallas with 317 tackles, 27 sacks and 16 passes defensed, will face his old teammates next week when the Cowboys come to Chicago for a Monday Night Football match-up with the Bears.
